Reduce weight and streamline engine compartment. This installation kit is a direct bolt-in replacement for the 79-93 5.0L Mustang. It eliminates the power rack, pump, pulley and rag joint for a total vehicle weight reduction of more than 30 lbs. Provides smooth responsive vehicle steering. Ideal for drag race and street use.

| This new manual rack & pinion is a direct bolt-in replacement. Reduces vehicle weight by more than 30 lbs. while maintaining a smooth, responsive steering system.The Flaming River manual rack features aluminum castings, two mounting holes and a chromed center tube. This design weighs only 14 lbs. and streamlines the engine compartment. Steering ratio (18:1) 3.75 turns lock-to-lock. Outer ends, and shaft kit (or adapter) required for installation.

| This high performance shaft kit utilizes two smooth, needle bearing universal joints, a prefabricated shaft to bolt directly into the column and weldless intermediate shaft for easy installation. This long-wearing design eliminates the rag joint for better steering response, streamlined appearance and improved header clearance. An absolute must when using large tube headers. Available for both power and manual rack and pinions.

| This adapter can be used to install the manual rack and pinion using the power steering rag joint. The adapter bolts on to the bottom of the rag joint and accommodates the manual rack and pinion. The primary disadvantage is that the steering response is not as positive.

94-95 5.0L Mustang Manual Rack & Pinion Installation Kit

| This installation kit is a direct bolt-in replacement for the 94-95 5.0L Mustang without hydroboost (nonmodular motors). Total vehicle weight savings of 30 lbs. off the front end where it counts most! This kit includes a new manual rack and pinion featuring chromed steel center tube and aluminum housings, universal joint and outer tie rod ends.

Quick Ratio 5.0L Mustang Rack & Pinion (15:1)

| This quick steer unit is designed for the 5.0L (79-93) Mustang. It is ideal for road racing and other applications where a very responsive steering system is required. The ratio of this manual rack and pinion is 15:1 which is 25% faster than a standard unit. 3.3 turns lock-to-lock Also available for 94-95 Mustang.

79-93 5.0L Mustang Outer Tie Rod Ends

| New manual outer tie rod ends are required when installing a new manual rack and pinion. The existing power rack & pinion tie rod ends are a different length. Flaming River manufactures the correct manual outer ends, complete with grease fitting, castle nut, and cotter pin. Two required for installation.
